Model Overview
The Encore GX is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive both with three trim levels: Preferred, Select and Essence. Power is supplied by either a 137-hp 1.2-liter turbocharged engine or a 155-hp 1.3-liter turbocharged engine. The 1.3L is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Trim-dependent standard equipment includes: 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, passive entry/start, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control and Satellite radio. Every Encore stay connected with a Buick infotainment system, featuring an 8-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth streaming audio, 4G and Wi-Fi hotspot capability, three USB ports and smartphone integration. Standard safety features include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, stability/traction control systems, a rearview camera and OnStar, as well as ten airbags; other available technologies include Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Alert and Side Blind Zone Alert.

Model Changes
For 2021, the Buick Encore GX gets no major changes except for the addition of Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto as standard on all models. SiriusXM is also now available on all models. The Buick Encore GX also made minor exterior changes to front and rear facias on all models, except for the optional Sport Touring Package.

The Buick Encore GX is a recently introduced small crossover SUV that features upscale styling and premium amenities. It fits right in between the Buick Encore and the Buick Envision.

The Buick Encore GX competes with other small SUV/crossovers in the market. It offers buyers an appealing blend of small size, luxury and SUV-like practicality. All-wheel drive is available, but the Buick is less about off-roading and more about all-weather driving in comfort. Luxury-oriented touches abound that usually are reserved for cars costing much more. The Encore GX is a great value, with touches of luxury, an array of technology and safety features, this small SUV comes with generous cargo space and a folding flat passenger seat to carry larger items.
