The Chevrolet Equinox is an impressive contender in the compact crossover/SUV segment. It exists on a shared platform with the GMC Terrain and Buick Envision.
The Equinox has one engine, a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes an impressive 175 horsepower and 203 lb. ft., attached to a 6-speed automatic transmission it delivers 30 mpg on the highway. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain, but all-wheel drive is available.

The Chevrolet Equinox gets a couple changes for 2023
Starting at around $27,000, the 2022 Chevy Equinox rivals Honda's CR-V and the Ford Escape. The interior features a 7-inch screen infotainment system, high tech Bluetooth connectivity features and sophisticated, classy appearance touches to make it look much more expensive than it is. The standard safety options are automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and lane keeping assist.
